2025 KICKOFF

As we expand our advocacy work, we’re focusing on three key policy priorities to advance voting rights and democracy in South Carolina. Through May, the end of the current legislative session, we’re working toward two big goals:

  1. Helping more South Carolinians understand the legislative process and how to advocate locally

  2. Making voting and democracy policy in SC clearer and more accessible - so people know what’s happening and what they can do about it

Simultaneously, we’re actively tracking and monitoring the 50+ pro- and anti-democracy bills filed in the State House. Some of these bills aim to expand access for voters, others impose new restrictions, and a few attempt to solve problems that don’t actually exist. In the coming weeks, we’ll share ways to take action and rally around key legislation.

We’re also proud to be a partner in the SC Voting Rights Coalition, working collaboratively across the state to protect and expand the right to vote.

Stay tuned—more ways to get involved are coming soon!
